HOW DOES IT WORK?

The advantage we have as a broker is that we facilitate the process and take the effort out of the purchase/sale. We qualify the prospect and determine, the buyers from the tyre kickers. That in itself will save you a lot of time.  WE ARE professional negotiators and ensure you get the most for your boat in any given market.

If the buyer has an objection we have the tools to overcome it with ease. For example:

If the prospect:

Has a boat to sell first… We offer to take their trade.
Is short of funds… We facilitate financing.
Is unsure of the condition… We organise a survey inspection for peace of mind.
If the boat needs a few repairs… We organise the repair.
Has logistical issues, lives interstate… We organise shipping.

The list goes on.

WHY SELL THROUGH A BROKER WHEN I CAN SELL IT MYSELF?

As a broker we make it easier for not only the seller, but the buyer as well. This is the key difference. We connect the two – and have the tools and resources to overcome obstacles and make the purchase a simple process for all the parties involved.

WHAT IS THE PROCESS?

We control the sale and captivate the prospects attention to ensure there is no deviating from the sale process increasing the chances of a smooth transaction.

We do our best to make this process simple for you:

  1. You sign an authority to sell which allows us to advertise and sell on your behalf.
  2. We advertise the boat at our expense (should the boat not sell there is no expense to you).
  3. We present the boat.
  4. We take an offer.
  5. Once an agreement is made we get a signed contract and take a deposit.
  6. Only once deposit has been received do we perform a sea trial.
  7. When the prospect is satisfied with the sea trial. We complete the transaction.

** The boat is only released once you have confirmed the funds have been received.

    Finance companies don’t (or seldomly) finance private sales. But they do like when the sale is being handle by a dealer/broker. It gives them peace of mind. Yes, you can get a line of credit at an inflated interest rate but why would you when you can finance through a broker or dealer for 5% less. We have access to the industry’s lowest interest rates. Even for the most complex circumstances we often have a solution and can assist with your needs.

    We don’t let a trade get in the way of a sale. After many years in the industry we have learned that you increase your audience substantially if you have the ability to take a trade. Most buyers need to off load their current boat before buying another. We have the ability to overcome that objection and strike a deal.
